Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent specially developed for delicate fabrics. Gently swirl the garment in the soapy water, taking care not to rub or scrub too hard.
2. Prevent prolonged soaking: It is important that you do not soak garments for long periods of time as this can cause colours to bleed or fade. Instead, soak the garment briefly in the soapy water to ensure thorough cleaning and minimise soaking time.
3. Gentle rinsing: After washing, rinse the garment with clear water until all detergent residue has been removed. Be careful when rinsing so that the fabric is not stretched or damaged.
4. Best drying methods: To keep the artwork intact, we recommend air drying the garment. Lay the garment flat on a clean towel or drying rack so that it retains its original shape. Avoid hanging the garment as this may cause stretching or deformation.
5. Precautions when ironing: If ironing becomes necessary, we suggest doing it inside out or using a pressing cloth to protect the artwork. Set the iron to a low temperature and let it glide gently over the fabric, avoiding direct contact with the printed surface.
6. Professionally clean: For complicated or delicate clothing, it is advisable to go to a professional dry cleaner who has experience in handling printed garments. They have the necessary expertise to ensure proper cleaning without damaging the artwork.
